Summer Fun--Week 10

We enjoyed having Grandma in town a few more days. We did lots of hanging out and catching up. Jillian wanted to take Grandma to Quarry Hill, so we stopped there on Tuesday for a little nature walk, before touring the historical suite at Mayo and enjoying lunch at Chester's.

The girls and Grandma had also been working on a performance for us. Adrienne did an interpretive dance to a Snow White song.

Jillian pounded along on the keys while holding a microphone and singing to one of her Kidz Bop songs.

Grandma helped our performers keep the beat and provided some encouragement along the way.

Snuggled in for bedtime stories with Grandma.

On Wednesday, we were sad to send Grandma back to Maryland. The girls decided to go along with Matt to take her to the airport, and then they had a bit of fun in the Cities before returning home so that I could pack in peace.
First stop: Chutes and Ladders Park. They were the first ones there and had the place all to themselves.

Then they did some paddle boating in Highland Park.

On Thursday morning, the girls and Matt left for a trip to the Dells...and I headed South to Des Moines and then on to KC for a girls weekend with my mom and sisters. Big fun for all! Separate posts required....
