"th"

I have always loved the little grammar slip ups and articulation errors of small children. Adrienne has several, but the most consistent one (or one that I can type so you can sound it out and appreciate its cuteness) is related to the "th" sound. As you might guess, she doesn't make the "th" sound at all. This sound is instead used in three ways--

1. If at the beginning of a word, or at the end (ie: think, thing, than, with), the sound she replaces "th" with is "f"--so, "I fink I don't like waffles" or "fank you".

2. If in the middle of a word (ie: together), then "th" becomes "v"--so, "we are going to play togever"

3. In the final instance, her substitution comes with the following words: this, the, there, and that. The replacement sound is "d". So, "She gave me dis",  " I want to go to da park", "Give me dat toy over dare".

She is even talented enough to use her three versions of "th" in one sentence. "I fink me and Jillian are going to play togever wif dat ball outside"

Love, love, love. Dare's no way I'm going to correct dis for a very long time.
