May and Early June

These are mostly out of order, but I am just too lazy to move them all around. So it goes.

Matt lived up to his kid at heart status enjoying the Taunton's trampoline

Jillian and Rachel escaped the other kids for some "girl talk". They are growing up.

Sven loves riding in the new car!

Hot Memorial Day weekend called for a pool on the deck.

Field tripping (again) with Jillian's class--this time to Quarry Hill!

Adrienne wrote a story about Sven. It's all Sven, all the time.

Gibbs fun run! This was an awesome fundraiser. It was on May 31st, which happened to be our 16th anniversary. Matt was out of town, so our celebration was delayed for a couple of weeks until our Paris trip. Worth it!!!

June 1st was the First Grade Music Program, followed by cookies and then a "guess whose parents" artwork display.

Also on June 1st--our basketball goal was FINALLY delivered! This was months-long in the making, requiring moved sprinkler lines and utility markings, and concrete pouring. Lots of basketball games in our future.

Speaking of basketball, Jillian is playing on a 3 on 3 league for a few Sundays this summer. She is playing with the 5th grade girls, so a year up, with some pretty stiff competition. It's a character building season, for sure. Fun to arrive for the first game and find her friend Kaia wearing the same jacket.

One last fieldtrip--this time with Adrienne's class to Oxbow!

Mayo rolled out their new EMR on May 5th, so this was a reallllly big deal and along time coming. Matt had to go in on Sunday evening to have a 'scooping' (radiology term) party with his division. The division chair had shirts made for them.

Jillian participated in the 3rd grade talent show on May 11th. She shocked me when she volunteered to play piano, as she generally doesn't like being up in front of crowds. She played "How Far I'll Go" from Moana and totally rocked it. So proud of her!
I'm not sure how I don't have any pictures of Mother's Day (must be on Matt's phone), but we had a nice laid-back day with brunch at Forager. I really wanted a chocolate pie, so I made myself one.

This is how Target shopping looks for me now when the girls go. Still crazy as when they were small, just in a different way!
Matt goofing off with his long-on-top hair in a man bun and his 'dragon energy' shirt. He makes me belly laugh every single day.

Saturday morning park play with the Sviggum kids on a cool morning when the dads were working.

Second mother-daughter book club meeting at Nupa. This time we discussed Matilda by Roald Dahl.

I took Paula to the Mayo Spa for a belated birthday facial. We had so much fun!

New garden boxes being delivered. They are massive!

Loving on Sven. Oh how she adores him.
