Spring Break

Long overdue is this post about Spring Break. Matt was off for the entire week (rare), so we decided it would be a good time to take the girls on a little tour of MO. We started out by heading to Boonville to stay with the Widmers and spend some time romping around our old stomping grounds in Columbia.

The kids had so much fun together. Lots of noise, laughter, and memories were made.

Time for lunch at Shakespeare's! It was of course as good as I remembered. Kids loved having their own table and playing with the dough.

The kids weren't the only ones having fun. We had lots of grown up fun playing What Do You Meme alongside a little ( or a lot!) of wine. Uncle D was laughing so hard at one card he was crying. 

Another rainy day on Monday. As we headed into Columbia we stopped in Rocheport at Les Bourgeois to show the girls where we got engaged over 15 years ago.

On Tuesday we said a tearful farewell to the Widmers (Jillian had an especially hard time) and we headed to KC to spend a couple days with Grandpa Bennie and Debbie and to connect with the Leaches. More crappy weather, but still lots of fun.

On Thursday we went to the Jesse James Museum in Kearney. Matt couldn't believe that I lived in Kearney for 17 years and never went there! It was so interesting.

On Thursday afternoon we headed to Des Moines to spend a night with Grammy and Grandad. I have no pictures of our time, we enjoyed a delicious meal and relaxing evening at their home.  Adrienne did some artwork while she was there, and I love how she phonetically spelled the name of their cat, Urban. 

Friday the girls were sad to load up and head home. Adrienne conked out on the way home. The sign of a good trip!
